St. Johns Parade

What a beautiful day it was for a parade.  The sun was shining and I had the good fortune to be escorted by the Royal Rosarians on the Rosarian float.  The 2015 Rose Festival Court and Clown Prince were in attendance as well. Here are a few pictures with highlights of the parade.  Don't forget to come to the coronation on June 6th to see which of the princess will be crowned the 101st Queen.

Making up for lost time

There has been so much happening since December.  I'm sorry that I have been remiss in posting on this blog. The Portland Rose Festival was excited to announce that the Portland airport carpet, nicknamed Pee Dee will be our Starlight Parade grand marshall.  The Starlight Parade will be held on May 30th.  I hope that you will come and support the 2015 court and I as we take part in the Starlight parade!

Earth Day - Cleanest and Greenest - Portland Rose Festival

Rose Festival and Republic Services partnered up to deliver a waste-free message for Earth Day (April 22). I talks with Anne Laughlin from Republic Services on camera about how to best prepare waste-free snacks and picnics while at a public event, like a Rose Festival parade! Has it really been since December?

It's been way to long since I last posted on this blog.  Time fly's when your a senior.  I've been applying to colleges and now filling out scholarship applications.  Rose Festival season is here!  The new princesses have been selected and they are an amazing bunch of young ladies.  Today was the 82nd Avenue parade.  I was joined by Rose Festival President Frank Chinn, Commander Paul Davis, Carla Stenberg, and Ray Hanson.  The day was beautiful.  What a pleasure to honor the 82nd Avenue of Roses in this parade.
