A Royal Portrait Unveiling of the 100th Queen of Rosaria - Portland Rose Festival Queen

Wow! Today was the unveiling of a portrait done of the 100th Rose Festival Queen, by artist Naomi Segal Deitz.  Naomi is a member of the Oregon Society of Artists, http://www.oregonsocietyofartists.com. The OSA is a sanctioned event during the Rose Festival. This was the first time the OSA has commissioned a portrait of the queen. The portrait turned out beautiful.  Thank you to Naomi and the OSA for the special gift.  Hopefully this can become an annual event.

Royal Rosarian Holiday Brunch

Sunday started off with a great brunch hosted by the Royal Rosarians.  It was held at the Benson Hotel, which was all decked out for the Holidays.  It was nice to visit with CEO of the Rose Festival Jeff Curtis, President Frank Chin and of course Marilyn the Prime Minister.  The Grant High School Royal Blues came and sang some traditional and not so traditional holiday songs.  They were fantastic.  It was great to support the Sunshine Division http://www.sunshinedivision.org and Portland Fire and Rescue Toy and Joy Makers http://www.toynjoymakers.org. Queen Victoria Dinu was on hand and we got into a little mischief.  Just a few Queen's clowing around!

West Linn Holiday Parade - Rose Festival Queen at Home

I was so excited to be part of the West Linn Holiday Parade.  During the summer I was in China and didn't get to be in the Old Time Fair Parade so it was nice to be able to support my home town.  The Royal Rosarians came to support me, which was so sweet! Here are a few of the highlights.

Christmas for Kids

It's been awhile since I've done something for Rose Festival, but the holiday season is in full swing and they are keeping me busy.

I was thrilled to be able to participate in the Christmas for Kids program, http://www.christmasforkids.org I met up with my chaperone Miss Patty and several of the Royal Rosarians.  I was paired up with a little girl named Perla. We got to see Santa, and shop till we dropped.

Perla got several new coats from Columbia and one for her brother too!  We bought all kinds of clothes including some new sparkly shoes that she was very excited about.  It was an amazing experience that I won't soon forget.

Portland Rose Festival Auction

Last night was the Portland Rose Festival Auction.  So many wonderful people showed up to support the Portland Rose Festival.  A special treat for everyone included, Ms. Leslie in full Wonder woman attire, Spiderman and Batman.  I was so glad to be reunited with Princess Chazmyne!  She shared her story with all of us and made us proud!!!! The Foundation presented a check to the Knight Cancer Institute for $120,000.  The generous and amazing Marcia Randall was there, she continues to be a champion of the Rose Festival Court. Princess Allison from 2013 and the current Miss Portland was in attendance to lend her support as well. Ashley and Carol are rock stars! All my love to Arthur and William, my biggest fans. Big hugs for Ms. Teri, my Rose Festival mom! Thank you everyone for making the auction a success.
